GOLDEN Historical Colours are authentic recreations of paint colours that have been in use for hundreds of years and were considered essential to the working palettes of past masters. As the pigments originally used to produce these colours were found to be unsafe or vulnerable to the effects of light and weather, they had not been offered in a GOLDEN line of pure pigment colours.

Recognising the popularity of these colours within some palettes, GOLDEN has recreated these in a safe, reliable form, meeting the conservation requirements of fine artists.
