Martin Lawrence
Martin is our Managing Director and is the 7th generation Lawrence to head up the business. A zoologist by training (making him
eminently qualified to study the rest of the
office staff!), he joined the company in 1984 and retrained in printmaking and ink technology.Martin is one of those slightly mad people who insist on flying an aeroplane without an engine whilst searching desperately for hot air! |

Alexis Rayner
Alexis, as our shop's Assistant Manager can
always be found at the 'sharp end'. Having completed her Art Foundation course
she has an excellent all round knowledge of our
product range. Although the smallest &
youngest member of staff, she keeps the mail
order staff in hand with an iron fist, often
reducing grown men to tears!
She's also brilliant at making signs!
Alexis is also our very own "Barry Norman". As a keen film buff there's very little she doesn't know about the latest blockbusters! |

Kit McCurdy
Kit joined us at the end of 2003, shortly after
completing an HND in illustration at nearby
Northbrook College. Apart from manning the
shop, Kit works as a freelance illustrator and
has won prizes for her card designs.Kit is
also a member of a local Stoolball team (a
traditional Sussex bat & ball game which is a
forerunner to modern day cricket), so can be
found belting around a playing field in her
spare time knocking the living daylights out of
balls, fielders, batsmen and anything that dare
move! |

Joe Webster
Joe joined us in 2006 fresh from teaching art in
secondary school. He gained a degree in
Fine Art Painting in 2000.Joe is now training
hard at Kung Fu. He has a musical bent (having
played in bands) and has even tried his hand at
tarot reading, so if you're not sure what items
you need, Joe will have a quick look at the
cards whilst tip-toeing over rice paper and
humming 'Stairway to Heaven' before offering
quality advice. |

Sandie Moore
Sandie joined us back in 1996 and looks
after our accounts. She is also the person
who talks to customers of Ridgely Tools.
Although not blonde, she originally hails from
Essex and her antics often leaves those around
her in a state of total bewilderment!A great lover of horses, she is often found in various arenas at weekends sitting in sawdust! |

Monica Lawrence
Apart from helping in the shop, Monica, an
ex-lecturer, is our training manager and Health
& Safety expert. She deals with much of the
constant bureaucracy that plagues small
businesses and relaxes at the gym.
She also manages the MD and his kids - she's
his wife! |

Margaret Hill
Mags is our Shop Manager & Buyer. She joined the company in April 2001. She graduated from Kent Institute of Art & Design with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art. She specialises in sculpture and loves drawing & creative arts.
When not at work Mags can be found in a tangled state at her Yoga class,
pumping iron in the local gym and swimming
5,000 lengths of a swimming pool before
breakfast!

Louise Walters
Louise is our "front line" person.
Apart from sales administration, she is the one
who usually answers the phones, takes the
orders, processes the payments, runs the post
room and spends her quiet moments jumping high
buildings!Being an expert on cats (or at
lest, how to treat scratch & bite marks - she
hasn't fully mastered the training of moggies
yet!) she's probably the companies expert on
first aid. Louise is also the one we all
turn to for advice when we need to know which
rips in our jeans are trendy and which aren't!
Ah well, we "wrinklies" have so much to learn. |

Richard Wagstaff
Apart from sales administration, Richard looks after the I.T. equipment and the company Web Site. He almost passed a CSE (Hons!) in woodwork and is currently learning how to tell one end of a paint brush from the other!
He joined the company in 1996 and his grey hair has developed since that date!

Sally Cole
Sally is our Showroom Manager and mother hen. Graduated from the Central School of Art and Falmouth School of Art, she is a fine art wood engraver, printer and painter.
Having joined the company in 1992 Sally is only just showing signs of madness! |

Kathy Sampson
Kathy is our production assistant. She originally trained as a potter and began printmaking in 1988.
When not in the factory she can be found hard at work in her own studio. |
