Now available from St. Cuthberts Mill is an exciting new inkjet paper called Somerset Enhanced.  This revolutionary English paper is taking the world by storm.

Somerset Velvet Enhanced is the answer for artists who demand an inkjet paper that shares the same texture and feel of a watercolour paper, but with exceptional depth of colour normally associated with glossy photo papers for their reproductions.  The paper has an invisible coating on one side that allows you to produce a print with a very high resolution and has a wide colour gamut.  After printing, the ink looks like it's in the paper, not on it, giving a slight softness to the image.  Meanwhile the 100% cotton, acid free base sheet is buffered to protect the artwork from attack by acids in the atmosphere.

Originally developed for the professional reproduction market, Somerset Enhanced is now available in formats for desktop printers allowing professional results from individual artists and photographers.  Prints have excellent tonality through the range, minimal ink spread and almost instantaneous drying, while the delicate texture of the paper reduces any visible dot structure in the image.

Somerset Enhanced upholds all the traditional high qualities expected of the Somerset range of papers.  It is sympathetic to the various treatments these images may undergo.

Please note when making a print that needs to be archival, use pigmented inks with Somerset Velvet Enhanced, as dye based inks will fade more quickly.
