Delivery Times & Charges

We endeavour to dispatch your order as soon as possible after it is received, although some delays can occur during busy periods. Delivery is generally within 1 to 2 working days from the day you complete your order. Please allow up to 5 working days for your order to arrive before contacting us.

Orders are sent out either via Royal Mail 1st Class or by courier, depending on weight and value of the order. If you require delivery to be tracked and signed for please state in the delivery instructions.

If you require your order urgently, please go through the checkout stages and state in the delivery instructions.

We may occasionally send part of the order if not all items are currently in stock. We will contact you in these instances and you will not incur additional shipping charges. We are unable to send part orders overseas or to Ireland.

Please note any times given for out of stock items are estimates and we are not responsible for undue delays.
If there is likely to be any undue delay to your order we will attempt to contact you via phone or e-mail.

Courier:

If there are any issues during delivery, the carriers will attempt to contact you by phone (if a number is provided). If we are unable to deliver, for any reason, a second delivery attempt will be made the next working day. The goods will then be held for 5 days with the carriers before being returned to us.

Please contact TN Lawrence directly if you have any issues with delivery, we will pass on instructions to the carrier.

When the goods are returned to us after the 5 day period we will refund your card with the cost of the goods and contact you regarding re-ordering. In these cases the original carriage cost is non-refundable.

If you request your delivery be left unsigned it is at your risk. T N Lawrence & Son Ltd cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of goods.

Royal Mail:

If there are any issues during delivery, Royal Mail will leave a red card. Please contact your local sorting office for details of your package. Please note the Royal Mail service we use is not a trackable service.
Goods are held for a few days at your local sorting office.

If you do not receive your goods, Royal Mail states that you need to wait 15 working days before contacting them.

Priority Despatch:

If you require your order urgently please use the priority despatch service. This will enable us to prioritise your delivery.
Orders must be placed before 12pm to ensure same day despatch and are subject to stock availability.
We will always contact you via phone in these instances so please provide a suitable contact number.
Please note that if your order is placed after 12pm despatch may be the following working day.

Priority despatch means that your order is prioritised in our despatch system and despatched same day (if placed before 12pm), it does not ensure a guaranteed next day delivery, our delivery services are subject to delays and issues in transit.

United Kingdom

Standard: £4.99
This is our standard delivery charge for the majority of U.K. Mainland orders. However, there are some exceptions to this as follows:

Paper: £9.99
(Items falling into this category will have an asterisk (*) at the front of the item name)
Large sheets of paper require special handling and extra packaging to ensure it is not damaged in transit.

Oversized Items: £9.99
(Items falling into this category will have an asterisk (*) at the front of the item name)

Very Large or Extra Heavy Items: Charged at Cost.
These items include presses, drying racks, plan-chests and the like. The delivery charge will depend on the item itself and where we are sending it to. The charges for these items will be shown next to the item.

Saturday Delivery: £14.95
For customers who require a courier delivery on a Saturday. Please select this option during checkout.

UK Highlands & Islands (including Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight & Isles of Scilly)

Orders are generally despatched via 1st Class Royal Mail.

If you require your order urgently we can offer a courier service at £14.99 - please phone us on 01273 260260 to arrange this.

Overseas

Channel Islands.

Our shopping cart will assume that we have to send your order via a carrier in a single parcel and will make a £15.57 charge for carriage. If, for any reason, the actual carriage charge is higher than the shopping cart's estimate we will contact you for approval before processing your order.

Republic of Ireland.


Our shopping cart will assume that we have to send your order via a carrier in a single parcel and will make a £18.68 (including VAT) charge for carriage. If, however, the actual carriage cost is cheaper, we will manually alter your order to and refund your card with the difference. If, for any reason, the actual carriage charge is higher than the shopping cart's estimate we will contact you for approval before processing your order.

Europe & the Rest of the World.

We always use DHL Express

Our shopping cart just isn't clever enough to cope with the endless permutations of overseas carriage charges so it will assume that the order weighs 4kg and will be sent by courier in a single parcel by the cheapest rate. We will never charge you more than the estimated carriage charge without your prior approval. However, there may be times when we can charge you less. In this case we will process your order without delay and refund your credit/debit card with the difference.

If you need an exact carriage charge before ordering please let us know your full delivery address and the items you want. We'll then get back to you as quickly as possible.

Please note that our delivery charges do not include and taxes or import duties that may be imposed by the recipient's customs authorities. We have no way of knowing if these charges may be imposed or how much they may be. If you are outside of the European Union we would advise you to contact your local customs office for advice.

Please note we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Returns

If you wish to return an item:

You may cancel your order, in writing (post, e-mail or fax), at any time within seven working days of receipt of the goods.

The goods must be returned, unused and in the same condition as you received them, at your expense. We will refund you the cost of the goods and the original carriage costs.

Items exempted from the Distance Selling Regulations include items made or modified to order (presses, press blankets, paper or metal cut to order), VHS and DVD's.

Please do not send any goods back without contacting us first. We will need to initiate a returns procedure to ensure that the returned goods are identified and that any refund or exchange is done as quickly as possible.
