Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Shipping

Subject to stock availability, we aim to despatch orders within one working day and we will endeavour to contact you if there is likely to be any delay. Occasionally, we may have to send part of the order whilst we are awaiting the remaining items to come back into stock. In these instances we do not make any further shipping charge when dispatching the remainder of the order to United Kingdom addresses.


Please note we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Delivery Schedule

Subject to stock availability, we aim to dispatch orders within one working days of receipt, and delivery will be 1 - 2 working days later to U.K. Mainland addresses. However please allow up to 5 working days before contacting us.

Occasionally, we may have to send part of the order whilst we are awaiting the remaining items to come back into stock. In these instances we do not make any further shipping charge when dispatching the remainder of the order for UK addresses. We cannot offer back orders for addresses outside of UK mainland.

If there is likely to be any undue delay to your order we will attempt to contact you via phone or e-mail.

If you request your delivery be left unsigned, it is at your own risk. Only 'signed for' packages are fully covered by the carriers insurance. T N Lawrence accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of goods that have been requested to be left without a signature.

If, for any reason, the carriers cannot deliver the package they will attempt to contact you by phone (if you have provided a phone number). Should that fail they will attempt a second delivery the next working day and then leave a card with their phone number asking you to contact them. The goods will then be held for 5 days before being returned to us.

Upon receipt of the goods we will refund your card with the cost of the goods and invite you to re-order should you so wish. In these cases the original carriage cost is non-refundable.


Please note we do not deliver to PO Boxes.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. We will then send on the missing items automatically as soon as they come back into stock. There is no additional delivery charges for these items for UK addresses.

V.A.T. & Sales Taxes

All item prices listed on the shopping pages include V.A.T. (Value Added Tax) unless stated otherwise and are shown in British Pounds (GBP).

V.A.T. is charged on all orders delivered to United Kingdom and European Union addresses. Orders delivered to an address outside of the European Union will not be charged V.A.T. However, you may be charged an import duty by your own authorities. We would advise you to contact your Customs authorities for further information.

The current rate of V.A.T. is 20%.

Credit Card Security

When the order is placed at our website, credit card numbers are encrypted using 128 bit encryption. They are only decrypted after they reach our computer. They are not held in clear text on any web site.

Guarantee

We offer a "no quibble" 12 month guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship. In addition you may return any item to us in its original condition (together with all original packaging) within 7 days of receipt for a full refund of the price of the item or exchange. We will also refund the delivery charge if the return is as a result of our error. This does not effect your statutory rights.

Returns Policy

Distance Selling Regulations apply to most purchases made by private individuals (not businesses) within the E.U.

You may cancel your order, in writing (post, e-mail or fax), at any time within 14 working days of receipt of the goods.

The goods must be returned, unused and in the same condition as you received them at your expense. We will refund you the cost of the goods and the original carriage costs.

Items exempted from the Distance Selling Regulations include items made or modified to order (presses, press blankets, paper or metal cut to order), VHS and DVD's.

Please do not send any goods back without contacting us first. We will need to initiate a returns procedure to ensure that the returned goods are identified and that any refund or exchange is done as quickly as possible.

All prices are in British Pounds.

If you are shopping from outside of the United Kingdom, your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency.
