Tofko Prof Press

Norup presses are manufactured by Tofko engineering co. in Denmark and are distributed exclusively by Lawrence in the UK.

The Prof and Super Prof presses are suitable for etching and relief printing and with an additional top section can be used for lithography.

This immensely popular range offers printmakers effortless operation and accurate performance. Suitable for both professional printmakers and colleges.

These presses are handbuilt to order from strong steel sections with a sturdy frame including two storage shelves. Legs can be levelled. There are two pressure screws to adjust the pressure. The quicklift handle enables the top roller to be lifted temporarily without adjusting the pressure screws. This makes it easy to insert blankets or for relief printing.

The rollers are 140mm diameter and are made of thick walled steel tubes mounted in self aligning, pre-lubricated anti-friction bearings. The 4mm thick bed is equipped with safety stops. Gear ration is 8:5:1.

This range can be purchases as a standard press, litho press, or the litho top can be purchased as an additional item and can easily be changed by unscrewing four bolts.
