6/7/20 An update on our current status;

Many of our manufacturers and distributors have either suspended manufacturing or are delivering but more slowly. Often they are not able to ship to us all goods that we have ordered, so please bear with us if some supplies take longer than others. It is also dependent on the rules and regulations other countries have in response to the virus.

If any circumstances change we will alert you, please check our website and social media pages for updates.

Please stay safe and follow advised guidelines of the government. We wish you all the best in these difficult times.

Delivery Times & Charges

We endeavour to dispatch your order as soon as possible after it is received, although some delays can occur during busy periods. Delivery is generally within 1 to 2 working days from the day you complete your order. Please allow up to 5 working days for your order to arrive before contacting us.

We may occasionally send part of the order if not all items are currently in stock. We will contact you in these instances and you will not incur additional shipping charges for UK mainland orders.

If there is likely to be any undue delay to your order we will attempt to contact you via phone or e-mail. Please ensure we are added to your safe senders list.

If there are any issues during delivery, the carriers will attempt to contact you by phone (if a number is provided). If the courier is unable to deliver, for any reason, a second delivery attempt will be made the next working day. The goods will then be held for 5 days with the carriers before being returned to us.

If your order is sent via Royal Mail they will leave a card if they are unable to deliver and you can either collect from your local sorting office or re-arrange delivery. If your package does not arrive Royal mail requires us to wait for 14 working days before we are able to raise a claim. Please contact us in these circumstances. 

Please contact Lawrence Art Supplies directly if you have any issues with delivery, we will pass on instructions to the carrier.


United Kingdom

Free delivery: spend over £75

Applies UK mainland only. Excludes Scottish Highlands and Channel Islands

Click and collect from our Hove shop, Portland Road: Free

We are open for collections Monday-Saturday between 10am-2pm at our Portland Road shop. We are not open on Bank Holidays.

  • Orders have to be placed 48 hours before required. For example, if you want to collect your parcel on Wednesday the order would need to be placed by 12pm Monday. If the order is placed after 12pm on Monday collection would be available from Thursday.

    You will receive an email when your order is ready to collect.

    Please note you will be unable to purchase additional items from the shop when you collect unless you enter our separate queue for browsing.

    Please respect our staff and other customers by queueing 2 metres apart.

    Minimum order value £20.

Standard: £5.99 
This is our standard delivery charge for the majority of U.K. Mainland orders for next day delivery. 

Royal Mail Delivery: £3.50

3-7 working days, size and weight restrictions may apply (Untracked)

Paper: £9.99 
Large sheets of paper require special handling and extra packaging to ensure it is not damaged in transit.

Oversized Items: £9.99  

Saturday Delivery: £14.95

Your order must be placed on a Friday before 12pm (UK mainland only)

Express/priority delivery: £9.99 for normal orders, £15.99 for bulky items

Your order will receive priority in our warehouse and will leave the same day provided it is placed before 11am

Very Large or Extra Heavy Items: Charged at Cost.  

These items include presses, drying racks, plan-chests and the like. The delivery charge will depend on the item itself and where we are sending it to. The charges for these items are based on postal code and will require a custom quote from the Lawrence Art Supplies team.

Channel Islands & Scottish Highlands.

Our shopping cart will assume that we have to send your order via a carrier in a single parcel and will make a £14.99 charge for carriage. If, for any reason, the actual carriage charge is higher than the shopping cart's estimate we will contact you for approval before processing your order.

Republic of Ireland.

Our shopping cart will assume that we have to send your order via a carrier in a single parcel and will make a £16.98 (including VAT) charge for carriage. If, however, the actual carriage cost is cheaper, we will manually alter your order to and refund your card with the difference. If, for any reason, the actual carriage charge is higher than the shopping cart's estimate we will contact you for approval before processing your order.

Europe & the Rest of the World.

We always use DHL Express

Our shopping cart just isn't clever enough to cope with the endless permutations of overseas carriage charges so it will assume that the order weighs 5kg and will be sent by courier in a single parcel by the cheapest rate. We will never charge you more than the estimated carriage charge without your prior approval. However, there may be times when we can charge you less. In this case we will process your order without delay and refund your credit/debit card with the difference.

If you need an exact carriage charge before ordering please let us know your full delivery address and the items you want. We'll then get back to you as quickly as possible.

Please note that our delivery charges do not include and taxes or import duties that may be imposed by the recipient's customs authorities. We have no way of knowing if these charges may be imposed or how much they may be. If you are outside of the European Union we would advise you to contact your local customs office for advice.

Please note we do not deliver to PO Boxes.



If you wish to return an item:

You may cancel your order, in writing (post, e-mail or fax), at any time within seven working days of receipt of the goods.

The goods must be returned, unused and in the same condition as you received them, at your expense. We will refund you the cost of the goods and the original carriage costs if you are returning all items on your order.

Items exempted from the Distance Selling Regulations include items made or modified to order (presses, press blankets, paper or metal cut to order) and DVD's.

Please do not send any goods back without contacting us first. We will need to initiate a returns procedure to ensure that the returned goods are identified and that any refund or exchange is done as quickly as possible.
