Our linoleum is 3.2mm thick and is specially made for printmaking purposes which is softer than the traditional flooring linoleum. Our lino is very popular and consequently stock is always fresh and therefore easier to cut.
We suggest that to avoid cracking always allow rolled lino to warm up before unwrapping it.
Warming the lino first will make cutting (with sharp tools!) much easier. We suggest placing lino on or near a radiator or warming gently with a hairdryer.
Before printing, degrease the lino with methylated spirits or soap.
